Outdoor Wedding at Santa Barbara Estate with Vibrant Colors and Citrus Details

College sweethearts Camille + Kevin decided to tie the knot in Santa Barbara, California.  Like most couples getting married these days, their original vision for their celebration had to dramatically shift as the pandemic progressed.  However, their intimate celebration was an occasion to remember.  We are so honored to have this wedding featured in Destination I Do’s Magazine Winter Edition, and can finally share the images with all of you - captured by the talented duo, James + Jess.

Camille wore a stunning gown by Pronovias and Kevin wore his military uniform.  The bridesmaids wore an array of spring dresses.

The ceremony took place overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with a lush floral aisle, soft carpet aisle, and a ceremony focal in the shape of a circle, adorned with garden roses, peonies, blooming branches, larkspur, delphinium, and bougainvillea.  Camille arrived at the ceremony in a vintage Mercedes, with both of her parents walking her down the aisle.  Not one eye was dry.  After the big kiss, trumpeters stepped out from behind a tree and began leading the guests in a “second line” to the cocktail hour.  A New Orlean’s tradition, the second line was an upbeat transition as guests sipped sparkling rosé and danced along with the trumpeters.

At the entrance to cocktail hour, a vintage champagne truck greeted the guests with sparkling wine and beer as they entered the cocktail hour space.  The signature cocktail in cocktail hour was named after the couple’s cat, Leo.  Instead of traditional escort cards, guests were led to their seats with shelving covered in lemons, each with a vellum leaf denoting their seating assignment.

While they couldn’t have their original guest count, they were able to host their closest family and friends for an intimate family dinner following the ceremony. Guests dined under the stars at tables with velvet linens, colorful centerpieces, watercolor menus, and fruit accents (including hand-painted grapefruits as table numbers).  Their wedding cake had intricate detailing that matched Camille’s gown.  As the sun set, guests enjoyed dancing and merriment.
