We were so honored to have Gabriel and Celeste's beautiful tiny wedding at San Ysidro Ranch featured Martha Stewart Weddings this month! Their celebration was so full of warmth, love, and beautiful details - captured by the amazing Jose Villa. Here is a link to the feature on Martha Stewart Weddings. Celeste wore an Oscar De La Renta lace gown and carried a bouquet I created using Cappuccino Roses, Combo roses, and Carmel colored blooms. We commissioned a calligrapher and artist to create a hand lettered invitation suite, menus, and calligraphy details. Their monogram was their initials intertwined with olive branches, representative of the beautiful olive trees lining the entrance to San Ysidro Ranch. Hand-painted roses also were included as an accent, since the ceremony was held in the rose garden. The string quartet played as guests arrived to rose gardens at San Ysidro Ranch. We created a stunning arch with Caramel, taupe, and beige roses to anchor the space, and then create crawling arrangements of blooms, vines, and greenery behind the chairs. The natural colors in the florals was soft and beautiful against the bright green grass and trees. Celeste and Gabe exchanged their vows in front of their family and friends, and were married by a close family friend. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed sips and bites in the rose garden as the sun set. For dinner, guests were welcomed into the Hydrangea cottage. We created a large “crawling” arrangement of roses on the fireplace, covered the ceiling in vines and greenery, and entertained all of the guests at one long feasting table. At the table, we set the table with traditional china, a soft natural linen tablecloth with a stitched “vine” pattern, hand-painted menus, dozens of pillar candles, and organic floral arrangements. The cake was placed on a long table and surrounded by a “garden” of flowers and pillar candles. Each guest received local handcrafted chocolate truffles, wrapped in handmade paper. The favors also served as place cards, with hand printed curled paper on each one denoting each guest’s seat. The guests enjoyed a multi-course meal until late in the evening. It was a beautiful, intimate celebration! Planner/Florist: Tyler Speier

They wanted their wedding to reflect their genuine, fun-loving, adventurous personalities, and to be a genuine celebration of their love for each other and their love for their family and friends. Guests were entertained all weekend leading up to the wedding: they had a sunset cruise and dinner party, a Karaoke night at a local bar, a golf tournament, a private wine tasting experience, a beautiful rooftop rehearsal dinner, a welcome drinks party, and then the wedding day itself. On the day of the wedding, guests were transported in vintage school busses to the ocean bluffs, where a custom-built wood aisle was adorned with rose petals and wooden arch was covered in abundant textured white blooms, including roses, hydrangea, astilbe, eucalyptus, and anemones. Emotions ran high as Chelsea came down the aisle with her dad, in a beautiful Rosa Clara lace gown. The ceremony was infused with heartfelt elements and lots of humor. Each guest laughed and each guest cried. After the ceremony, the vintage school busses transported the guests to the beach, for a memorable cocktail hour. A large Ferris wheel was installed for the wedding on the beach, covered in Smilax vines and styled by the Tyler Speier Team. Guests could grab a cocktail (from the large wooden bar overlooking the ocean with a dramatic greenery installation), grab a selfie stick from the selfie stick station, and then enjoy a ride on the Ferris wheel! The other photo opportunity was the 16’ long living flower wall, with the couple’s hashtag displayed at the center. The food was also so memorable - from fresh-baked pretzels to chicken and waffle bites, the cocktail hour cuisine was inspired by carnival food and was oh-so-good! After cocktails on the private beach, guests were brought to a barn on the property that was completely transformed with chiffon draping, crystal chandeliers, twinkle lights, and beautiful flowers. In lieu of a traditional sit-down dinner, Chelsea and Ryan chose to have food stations and more of a cocktail-style reception. Each food station was named after a family member or family tradition. While we had some seated tables for guests to eat dinner, we also had high top tables with bar stools and several styled lounges. Outside the barn we had another entertainment area: three shacks on the property that we converted into a “Donut Shop and Espresso Bar,” a Photo Booth, and a Cigar and Whiskey Bar. The espresso bar was so unique - there are custom screen-printed lattes with the couple’s hashtag! Guests could enjoy a variety of lattes, cold brews, teas - a full coffee shop assortment, with each item customized with the hashtag. Chelsea surprised Ryan and styled the cigar lounge after his favorite football team - with team decorations and props infused throughout the cigar lounge, which had Edison bulb lights, leather furniture, a retro beer cooler, and a chevron-patterned wooden bar. Guests danced the night away, ate sumptuous food (pasta station, Taco station with home-made tortillas, hot wings station, French fry station, popcorn station, pie station, and more), and ended the night with a confetti cannon shooting rose petals all over the dance floor! It was definitely a night to remember…one of my FAVORITE WEDDINGS EVER! ![]() The team that made it all happen... Their bright personalities, love for their family and friends, and unique sense of style made their wedding so memorable...I'll never forget it! They chose to get married at Rancho Dos Pueblos in Santa Barbara, California. The venue is right on the coast, so their ceremony took place on a cliff overlooking the ocean, the cocktail hour took place on the private beach, and their reception was held in a rustic barn nestled in the coastal trees. Even though the venue is a rustic ranch, we decided to bring in lots of colorful, modern elements to make this celebration unique. Megan wore a stunning ivory gown and Tom wore a burgundy suit. The bridal party wore non-traditional attire - the bridesmaids and brides men wore varying shades of bright pink. Megan carried a coral coxcomb bouquet and her bridal party carried miniature bouquet of dried flowers. Such a fun, unique way to dress the wedding party - it was bright, colorful, comfortable, and fun! The wedding ceremony was held on a cliff overlooking the ocean. To complement the bridesmaids' bouquets, we created an arch comprised of dried grasses, pampas grass, twigs, and honey-colored roses to give a neutral frame to the bride and groom. We lined the aisle with greenery and pampas grass. Guests sat on natural wood benches, after being transported to the bluff in retro school busses. The bridal party danced down the aisle to Madanna's "Vogue," and the couple's puppy served as the ring bearer. Such a fun ceremony! The wedding reception was held in the beautiful barn. Guests were greeted with brightly colored favors as they found their seats. The entire barn was draped in soft chiffon and romantic twinkle lights were strung overhead (by Bella Vista Designs). Over the white dance floor, beautiful boho basket lanterns from Elan Event Rentals were hung to create a dramatic focal and installation. Guests dined at mismatched wooden tables and round tables. All of the tables had clear ghost chairs and brightly colored florals. The menus were created from a hand-painted watercolor artist. I loved the various patterns and textures we used in all the linens. This design was particularly fun because we used so many juxtaposing elements: dried flowers and bright blooms, natural wood and clear acrylic, soft white embroidered linens and also black and white stripes, hot pink bridesmaids gowns and a beautiful ivory bridal gown...the list goes on. Take a look at all these fun details! The Team who made it all happen...

Mika is a graphic artist and had a very distinct vision for her wedding design. We worked together closely to develop their wedding design concept. She made all of the paper goods (so amazing!), which added such an amazing touch to the wedding, which had a color palette of white, blush, beige, and soft gold. Mika's something blue (scroll down to see her amazing Gucci Shoes) were incredible. From the champagne wall escort card display to the dramatic floral garland on the head table, it was such a beautiful day! I loved using peonies, hydrangea, ranunculus, eucalyptus, ruscus, dusty miller, and lots of roses in the floral design. Mika's bridesmaids also wore all-white, which was super classic and stunning against the rustic backdrop of the ranch. This year, it has been so fun seeing this wedding on Martha Stewart and Style Me Pretty. Mika and Steve chose to have a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony. We kept decorations to a minimal at the church, to allow the setting to speak for itself. I love when couples incorporate their traditions for their wedding ceremony - it is always such an honor to witness so many different traditions at the weddings we do. The reception was held at Greengate Ranch and Vineyard. Guests enjoyed cocktails on the lawn (as the horses ran in the pastures nearby). When it was time for dinner, guests took their champagne flute from the champagne wall, which doubled as an escort card. Guests dined on mismatched tables (round tables with velvet linens and white chairs and wooden tables with runners and garlands) under a canopy of twinkle lights, which we covered in greenery to add a whimsical flair. Field to Table catering provided an incredible multi-course meal, and dessert was a Milk Bar cake (and a cookie bar with home-made cookies from the mother of the bride). After dinner, guests moved into the barn for dancing, and they celebrated late into the night. The team who made it all happen...

Calligrapher (Bar Menu): Jessica Yee Calligraphy When Natalie and Paul called me to get to know me, I knew immediately that their wedding would be so much fun. Natalie's family grows flowers, and they wanted to provide all of the blooms and ensure that their wedding was FULL of beautiful floral arrangements. Natalie and Paul were also high school sweethearts (like Taylor and I). Finally, it was special to work with them because they are Santa Barbara locals and also grew up in this beautiful town. Most of my clients fly in from all over the world to get married here (or in other destination locations), so it was fun to work with someone who grew up here as well. Their wedding was at a private estate in Carpinteria. It was full of so many beautiful details - from a clear-top tent with romantic chiffon draping and soft lighting, to a large floral installation over the dance floor, it was an evening to remember! We featured a clean white and blue color palette and incorporated ALL the flowers from Natalie's family's farm. The end result was stunning! Their wedding was at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Montecito, California. Because the church is so naturally beautiful, we kept the floral to a design to a minimum so that the natural beauty the space would shine. I created two large floral arrangements on the altar in all white to stand out against the intricate paintings and ornate detailing. Guests were greeted at a private estate in Carpinteria with signature cocktails, lawn games, and sweeping mountain views. As the sun began to set, they were invited into the tent, where a large ombre hanging arrangement of delphinium hung over the dance floor. Each table had a large floral centerpiece with flowers grown on Natalie's family farm, including delphinium, Lillies, and solidago. We used white linens and navy blue goblets to provide a clean color palette in the all-green space. The sweetheart table was framed with flowers and vines. The Team who Made this Happen:

I used to play so much with different types of greenery (sometimes not using ANY flowers at a wedding), different tones of wood, metal, and other natural elements to bring unique, organic wedding celebrations to life. I still carry a lot of these early design inspirations into my floral designs, as they are an important part of my aesthetic. I am so inspired by the natural whimsy of nature, and it's always so fun to play with natural elements while creating a design. When Jamie and Matt asked me to design their wedding, they told me they didn't really want lots of flowers - they wanted it to be super natural, with lots of greenery and natural elements, and pampas grass. I had so much fun working with them to design their big day. We had a custom triangular arch built for the ceremony - it was 12' tall and made such an incredible focal to the space! It reminded me of an old church ceiling, and I loved bringing that impressive piece on to the beach bluff to frame the bride and groom. I also especially loved Jamie's bouquet - it was the only place at the whole wedding we used feminine blooms, but I also incorporated large air plants and textured seedpods to continue to the natural theme. The wedding ceremony took place on a bluff overlooking the ocean. We had a custom built triangular arch to frame the space - I made it almost double the height of a normal wedding arch (twelve feet) to add some visual drama to the space and give the illusion of an old church ceiling. Me and my team decorated the space with air plants, succulents, greenery, and pampas grass. Guests sat on natural wood benches. The reception took place at Rancho Dos Pueblos in the barn. Guests entered the barn through the main entrance, lined with pillar candles and draped with natural linen curtains. They dined on rectangular tables with wooden chairs - mismatched with exposed wood farm tables and tables with crisp white linens. Instead of flowers on the table, we created textured arrangements with greenery - ferns, eucalyptus, eryngium, air plants, and small white blooms - in wooden boxes. A watercolor illustration of the venue was on each menu, which was personalized by a calligrapher with each guest's name. For water glasses, we used cut wine bottles to bring in the olive green color and give a subtle nod to local wine country. I loved the flatware we used as well - gold flatware with soft gray handles - a nice modern touch in the rustic barn space. As the sun set, the band began to play, the twinkle lights were shining, and the guests danced the night away. Such a fun wedding! The team who made it all happen:

Their intimate celebration for their closest family and friends was so romantic. I loved the pastel floral arrangements, the romantic gold hand-lettered calligraphy details on hand-torn paper (by Jessica Yee Calligraphy), and Rhiannon's Claire Pettibone gown (and floral veil!). Rhiannon got ready at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel in Montecito. I love how her dress wasn't pure white - the gray and blush tones in the gown were absolutely stunning. I created a bouquet for her with spring blooms in blushes, lilacs, creams, and soft blues. Josh wore a powder blue suit with a spring boutonniere. Their unique, fun wedding fashion choices shaped and inspired the design for the rest of the wedding day. They said their vows in a small Mediterranean courtyard in downtown Santa Barbara. Me and my team created a whimsical ceremony archwith hundreds of stems of flowers to create a growing "vine" of "growing" flowers over the ceremony space. We put taper candles on the ground around the bride and groom to frame them during the ceremony. The guests enjoyed a family-style dinner at long tables adorned with white taper candles, romantic spring flower garlands, and hand-lettered calligraphy details. It was an intimate spring evening with beautiful pastel details. The Team Who Made this Happen:

Taylor and I just enjoyed staying there, so I thought it would be fun to share the details from this beautiful autumn wedding with you all! Caty wore a beautiful gown by Rivini. I loved her off-the-shoulder sleeves. Her bouquet was also one of my favorites of the season - the cappuccino roses and deep Burgundy tones in the flowers were so fun! For the ceremony, Caty and Jeff exchanged their vows in front of a large tree under hundreds of twinkle lights. We lined the aisle with beautiful flowers (gotta’ love a good flower aisle!) and created a crawling installation of flowers and branches up the tree to be the focal point for the ceremony. Dinner and dancing were held in a large tent, draped in fabric and with hanging crystal chandeliers. Since the space was filled with white fabric, we chose to create “tree-like” centerpieces on the tables with greenery and vines to bring elements of the outdoors in. The table numbers were marble hexagons with hand painted gold script. After a sumptuous meal, guests also enjoyed late night dining from In and Out, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut - so fun! The vintage photo-booth set-up was also super fun. I love when couples make fun late-night options for their guests! It’s fun to be less formal as the evening progresses. They were taken up to a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean for welcome drinks and for the ceremony. Guests sat on natural wooden benches as Brittany and her dad arrived to the ceremony site in a vintage Mercedes Car - so classic! Not an eye was dry as Brittany and her dad came down the aisle, which was lined with greenery and papas grass. Instead of a traditional arch, me and my team created a half circle arrangement growing from the ground with greenery and pampas grass. The reception took place on a private beach. I loved the natural color palette, rattan lanterns, pampas-grass around the stage for the band, and all of the beautiful calligraphy details. Inspired by Brittany and Dave’s love for travel, the escort card display was created with hand painted luggage tags and each table was named after one of their favorite travel spots. I especially loved this display, as Taylor and I did something super similar at our own wedding! Each table had natural floral arrangements with lots of greenery, vintage brass candlesticks and gray taper candles, and beautiful natural ceramic china with gold flatware. When Jessie and I worked together to design this wedding, we wanted the greenhouse on the property to be completely transformed from a raw, open space, into a space of elegance, timelessness, and warmth. My favorite design element was the Texas Smilax installation me and my team installed on the preexisting beams of the greenhouse to give the illusion of old vines bursting through the glass panes and filling the space. It was so romantic and made the space feel so warm, vibrant, and full of life. All of the greenery accents were juxtaposed with the simple, neutral table settings - we used white linens, white blooms, soft grey table runners, light woods, and beautiful minimalistic china to give a timeless and elegant, yet clean and modern feel.
